Who I am

In Seattle (during my SPU MFA program days)

Hello, hello–and welcome. I have been a freelance writer for a while now, and wanted a place to collect and share my work.

I write mostly on the connection between faith, art, culture, and justice–the greater more, the smaller less. You’ll find a nifty list of selected published work over here.

I’m also a fiction writer and currently at work on several short stories. So most days you’ll find me at my desk, scribble-scrabbling stories down.

If you’d like to connect further, feel free to drop me an email at AdeleKonyndyk (at) gmail (dot) com.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Adele,

I’m so glad to make your acquaintance, and I admire your unique voice and intelligent consideration of your subjects. You clearly think your ideas through and seem to have a largely balanced view–a rare thing these days.

I’m also glad you found something of interest in my blog, and perhaps find some inspiration in my work, in the same way I have found it in yours. I particularly enjoyed your article on reading about horrible things and teaching literacy. I think I’m going to enjoy your content a great deal.

    Best wishes……John H.

  2. Hi Adele! Seems like I missed out on the chance to meet you at the Festival of Faith and Writing. Perhaps we can remedy that in 2014! At least we can follow one another this way and stay in connection. Thanks for following me! :)

  7. Hi Adele– I too am an MFA-er through SPU. How did you find my rando bread blog? (but I’m glad you did). Would love to read some of your work or share good reads. I am loving Clara Callan by Richard B. Wright currently– an epistolary novel.

    • Hi there! Wow what a coincidence–I actually just found you through the WP ‘Reader’ while looking for those out there also blogging about Marilynne Robinson. But I am glad I did, as it’s always extra special to connect with another SPU-MFA. That program truly changed my life–talk about a blessed time. :) And yes, would love to stay in touch with what we’re reading and writing. And all the best in your glorious grad school adventures!
